THE GALLERY | WISH is pleased to announce Portrait Mode a solo exhibition featuring Mariella Angela.

LA native, Mariella Angela both literally and figuratively brings together some of the greatest faces in the industry with her larger than life oil paintings. Highlighting some of Atlanta’s most iconic entertainers alongside some of her own hometown heroes, these portraits encompass talent to a T in all aspects of the word. As a society, we have adopted portraiture as a form of immortalization, but also to solidify identity throughout the ages among royalty, and presidential entities. Mariella has a true gift and has chosen some of the most original, trendsetting performers of our time to represent in her upcoming show, ”Portrait Mode”.

Mariella Angela, also known as @itsmariel, is a self-taught oil painter based out of Norwalk, California. Angela started painting in 2013 after she took a semester off from college due to medical reasons. She spent most of her time in solitude and used painting as a creative outlet. As a lifelong hip-hop fan, she synthesizes her love of hip-hop and painting to produce iconic portraits of prominent rappers and legendary recording artists.
