In collaboration with NY-based artist @giannilee, THE GALLERY by WISH is proud to present “Black Heroism & The Wounds They Carry”, Gianni Lee’s first solo-exhibition in the cultural epicenter Atlanta.

Lee’s newest body of work utilizes lush, sensual portraits of iconic black historical figures and sci-fi iconography to further explore the connection between black people and technology. Bringing together the artist’s different mediums and styles, the exhibition juxtaposes the collective history of black people while envisioning an optimistic future in spite of our daunting socio-political reality.

“Black Heroism & The Wounds They Carry” assembles a collection of portraits, photographs and film to celebrate every aspect of the black identity, from spirituality to cultural achievements, the exhibition poses the question “how do we channel our legacy of greatness to create a more equitable future”.
